Sven is a developer advocate, keynote speaker, former programmer, and tech marketer. He’s been studying teamwork for the last 15 years.
He’s been working in Denmark, Germany, and the US as a software team lead and developer advocate. For Atlassian and MongoDB he managed event content teams, produced several product keynotes, and defined the brand message for and beyond their customer conferences.
He got tons of experience building internal and external speaker programs for scaling public speaking, assuring an amazing presentation quality, and enhancing peoples careers.
Sven regularly speaks at small and large international developer conferences like Devoxx, Jfokus, Javazone, DevNexus, NDC, Codemotion, Code One, GeeCon, WeAreDevelopers, Jax and many more. Additionally he’s been working in programming committees of Jazoon, Jfokus , DevoxxUK, JavaOne, TopConf, and Øredev as a track lead and reviewer.

Produced the first MongoDB stage keynote in almost 2.5 years. The goal was to create an engaging and dynamic keynote with live demo elements that resonates with the developer focused audience. This was also the launch of MongoDB’s new corporate design.

Virtual Keynote Production and Breakout Content
This virtual keynote was set up as a TV News show. It needed to keep the virtual audience engaged throughout the 60 minutes of new product announcements.

For the breakout content we shortened the presentation time, added live moderators, had extended live Q&A with speakers, and planned some entertainment for the breaks. The content was build with diversity in mind and we organized coaching, storytelling workshops, and slide design trainings for 80 speakers.

2015 – 2018 – Atlassian Speaker Program
Scaling developer advocacy by enabling engineers to be speaker at external events. Running speaker training, maintaining options for speaking opportunities, helping finding topics and measuring the success of the program. We managed to increase the number of external presentations by 300% and enhanced some engineer’s career.
